Buy some soap, save the rainforest

Yep, it's really that easy. Next time you need a gift for a loved one - or just want to pamper yourself - skip Bath and Body Works and visit Save Your World, a company that cares as much about the rainforest as they do about exfoliating dead skin cells.

Check out luscious products like all-natural Regal Blossom Body Wash and Oasis Fruit Shampoo, which are cruelty-free, paraben-free, and only contain natural and organic ingredients. And in addition to yummy-smelling skin and hair, the purchase of just one of these body care products saves one acre of rainforest in Southern Guyana for a whole year. The secured rainforest habitat is that which otherwise would have been destroyed by mining or deforestation.

Save Your World is also a part of Co-op America's Green Business Network, so they stand by what they preach, and the products are delivered in recyclable packaging.

And here's something you don't often see on beauty product sites: specific, cogent explanations as to why what they're trying to protect is necessary to our world (for instance, the fact that rainforests naturally regulate temperatures and weather patterns, and help to absorb carbon from the air).
