Six uses for those replaced incandescent bulbs
The good news is you changed all of your old wasteful incandescent bulbs into new, more efficient compact fluorescent bulbs. The bad news is you have a bunch of old incandescent bulbs that you're not sure what do to with. Thanks to a recent article at Treehugger, you now have six wonderfully inventive ways to reuse those old bulbs.Although some of the uses might seem a bit of a stretch, my favorites include the oil lamps, salt & pepper shakers and the small mini greenhouse. This mini greenhouse was originally inspired by an ad in the June 08 edition of Popular Science, but made into a step-by-step comprehensive article by the good folks at Instructables.com. Keep in mind though, no matter which of these handy craft ideas you may try out, these bulbs are made of very thin glass, and mishandling them can result in injury. Wear those gloves, and have fun!
