Five ways to reuse Father's Day cards

First off, Happy Fathers Day! I know that we've covered cards before but I thought that I'd reopen the topic as I not only have Mother's Day cards hanging out on my fireplace mantle but some Father's Day cards as well. I've found a few clever ways to reuse them over the course of the coming year.
  1. Box. Father's Day cards usually have goofy pictures on them that are worth saving. Turn those cards into a box with these handy instructions and use them for an upcoming gift giving occasion or for next year's tie tack.
  2. Bookmark. If Dad likes to read, you can make him a bookmark to appreciate all year long.
  3. Compost. That card doesn't even have to leave the yard. Just rip it up a couple of times and throw it in the compost pile.
  4. Toys. Cut out any images of people or items from the card and attach to popsicle sticks for a mini puppet performance.
  5. Save it. If you've got small children and a forgetful Dad, you can always stow the card away for next year.
