Breaking WIND: a truly 'micro' turbine

After searching far and wide for a small-scale DIY wind turbine, the Air Breeze is the best I could find. It's actually a really nice piece of equipment, but they could have thought of a less redundant name. Air breeze? Anyway, this 13lb. turbine is completely manageable for the DIY novice and can survive wind speeds up to 110mph. I guess maybe it's a breeze to install.

The downside to the Air Breeze is that it only generates about 38 kWh/month. I know that people say the little things add up, but I'm a little skeptical. I overheard part of a conversation between one of Skystream's salespeople and a guy drinking a Bud Light, and I'm pretty sure I heard the word sailboat about 4 times. If you're looking for something to power your sailboat or a remote cabin with extremely low power needs, this little guy might be an OK choice -- as long as you've got adequate power storage. I found it listed at $599 here.
