Target, worm poop and new totes

Target finally caught on to what many etsy participants have been making a small living off of; the fusing of plastic bags. Their recent collaboration with TerraCycle, a company known for it's worm poop fertilizers and love for recycling, produced a reusable bag called the "Retote."

Made entirely from recycled Target bags, the Retote is available for six dollars at Target stores. Because the plastic bags are fused together rather than melted down and recycled, the process requires a lot less energy and yields a larger amount of material.

You may have seen a promotion for the Retote inside Newsweek last month. Inside were instructions on how to mail in your target bags for a coupon for a free bag. Yet another reason for me to visit Target -- like I needed one.
