The all-electric Triac hits the streets in July
According the Green Vehciles website, the Triac's Lithium-ion batteries take 6 hours to charge from zilch to full, and there's a booster add-on that is in the works that will supposedly increase battery life by 25%. As far as safety goes, the Triac has a crash cage similar to that of a race car and a low center of gravity. I'm definitely into the fugly look of the NmG, but for about $16,000 less, I'll take the Triac's sportier style. Plus, I like that the Triac's style emphasizes the motorcycle aspect of the design. After all, it's basically a luxury trike -- albeit a safe one.

I hope they really build this - but I must admit I'll be truly surprised it they're shipping vehicles this summer.
I still can't figure out how they plan to build a LiIon powered 2-seater for $20K when NmG charges more for a PbA powered single-seater. Anyone know who their battery supplier will be?
It will be interesting to see how the 3-wheeler EV market shapes up. Ohio has decided that such vehicles aren't cars - or motorcycles, either - meaning they can't be registered in Ohio (recently discussed over on AutoblogGreen). Hopefully the legislative process will do something that makese sense for these vehicles.
