Pierce Brosnan donating over $1 million dollars to save the environment
Not only is Pierce Brosnan a great actor, but he also genuinely cares about saving the environment. He's been dedicated to the cause for over 10 years now, from back in the day before being green was cool. Pierce received the Environmental Leadership Award from the Green Cross organization in 1997.Pierce has set up a trust along with his wife that donates to eco-organization and along the way has been consistently donating his own money. He encourages the public to donate as well. He himself recently reached the $1 million dollar donation landmark.
The sexy Irishman was quoted as saying "People can give back by donating to offset emissions such as planting trees and paying carbon tax when traveling in environmentally sensitive areas."
The environment isn't the only cause this good guy contributes too. He's helped replace a playground in his home of Hawaii, supported Greenpeace protesting and has been a breast cancer awareness spokesperson. Now that's what I call fame with a purpose!

Funny, he can donate a million dollars to the environment, he and his wife can donate $100,000 for a playground for children they don't even know, yet the woman (Carol Plants) who is in all probability his sister, who has begged for him to prove if she is or is not, he and his wife ignore. They claim to be such great humanitarians, so giving, such great family people, yet here they are ignoring a woman who is probably his very own sister. How do you explain that? What troubles us more is she has been threatened, doors slammed in her face - by someone very close to Pierce Brosnan. Why? Who is trying to keep her a secret and why? What does this person or persons have to gain by him not coming forward. Sounds very hypocritcal to us. This treatment has ultimately led to her being left homeless in Los Angeles, living in shelters, desparately seeking a job and a home but mysteriously, told to go away.
Why won't Mr. Brosnan and his wife come forward to answer her claims? Why has this man who claims to be such a GREAT family man, who CLAIMS family is one of the MOST important things to him, not to mention a wife who touts her own charitable efforts, failed to come forward to find out the truth? We challenge humanity starts at home AND with family. And IF Mr. Brosnan and his wife are the great humanitarians they are portrayed to be, what is the problem with him coming forward? He has nothing to lose, everything to gain if she is his sister. She needs and deserves the truth - is Thomas Brosnan her father; is Pierce Brosnan her brother?
Carol is not looking for money; or for him to support her. All she wants and DESERVES is to know who her family is. If tests prove he is not, she will slip quietly away. If he is, what he chooses to do is entirely up to him; but for Carol it will provide answers she rightfully deserves to know. It would be a travesty if this story was left unfinished because of Mr. Brosnan's celebrity status; and greater travesty if she IS his sister and they both lose something precious - family.
Wondering if its time to quit going to see his movies, quit buying his DVDs.
