Peligrosa Knits
Peligrosa might mean dangerous in Spanish, and Peligrosa Knits' clothing lives up to it's name. It's sexy and a little on the edgy side. And guess what, Peligrosa Knits' eco-fashion isn't just for women. They have a fantastic mens' line as well -- perfect for the hippy businessman. Yeah, I don't think that could be called an oxymoron in this day and age. There are plenty of guys out there in the corporate world who also care about the environment. Those two things aren't mutually exclusive like people used to think.
The company uses organic cotton for much of the clothing. For their '08 Fall Collection, though, they did make sweaters out of wool and cashmere. No animals were harmed in the process, but the clothes definitely aren't vegan.
The yarn is also free of dyes that are harmful to the environment. The buttons are made out of sustainable materials like bamboo, tagua and coconut. And the tags are printed on recycled cardboard with soy based ink.
