Moo Shoes: Fashion with compassion

The store, the first cruelty free store in New York City, has been a huge success. Since it's conception in 2001 Moo Shoes has continued to grow. In the beginning they were able to offer around 20-30 styles, but now that green has gone mainstream and bigger brands have also began producing vegan lines, they have "well over 100 styles." So they have many options for their hugely varied customer!
The ladies who own Moo Shoes have said that they can't really pinpoint a typical customer. Vegans come in a wide array so there is no real specific demographic they cater to, aside from vegans, obviously. They have had a few celebrities come into the store though, like Woody Allen and Joaquim Phoenix. Both men insist they won't wear any leather.
Almost all the products they offer are made with animal free, sustainable materials like hemp. And even their shoes that are synthetic are at least 80% biodegradable.
Fashionistas rejoice! Women can find vegan gladiator sandals, wedges, hot boots, ballet flats, and even 4 inch heels at Moo Shoes. And men will be happy to know there's just as wide a variety for them. Check out Moo Shoe's website for more information.
