Obama would hire Gore to fight climate change
Al Gore is probably the most coveted endorsement in the race for the Democratic Presidential nomination, but thus far the award-bedecked enviro-guru has been coy about who he might support. However, that doesn't mean the candidates can't drop the holy name now and again.
At a town hall in Pennsylvania, Barack Obama responded to a question by saying that he speaks with Gore freqently on the subject of climate change, and sees him as a potentially key advisor in any future administration. Even more interesting, Obama would definitely consider asking St. Al to take a cabinet position or "higher."
Of course, in US politics, the only position higher than a Cabinet post is Vice-President, and after 8 years playing bridesmaid to Bill Clinton, it's not clear whether Gore would be interested in having his old job back.
Obama also stated unequivocally that "climate change is real", a breath of fresh air after two terms of George W. Bush denying, obfuscating, and blustering on the subject.
