Wood teethers for baby
Babies will chew on just about anything once they start, so you want to make sure that they chew on something safe. Safe Mama writes about alternative teethers this week, featuring this beautiful alternative teether from Camden Rose. Each teether is made from maplewood and finished with non-toxic beeswax. Made in the US, this teether is easy for little ones to grasp and has a simple, yet beautiful shape.Buy it here for only $10.99.
If having baby chew on a piece of wood seems isn't your thing (although when you think about it, why are we so used to babies chewing on plastic?), be sure to check out Safe Mama's list of bisphenol-A free and phthalate-free teethers.

Because plastic won't leave splinters behind, Ouch!
A clean moist towel that has been kept in the freezer works well for a child that is teething.
