Ludacris and Tommy Lee to appear on Planet Green T.V. network
Planet Green T.V. has decided to use celebrities, in hopes of parlaying their popularity into creating a hip green channel. And they've certainly signed on with a diverse group of A-listers -- Adrian Grenier, Tommy Lee and Ludacris will all take part in some of the channel's programs.Executives are hoping that Hollywood plus topic experts to give the shows credibility will be a hit with audiences. Celebrities will be participating in green contests like solar power racing and building a house out of bamboo.
Tommy has already dubbed Ludacris, "Luda the Polluta," so Luda fired back and nicknamed Mr. Lee, "Toxic Tommy." I like that the celebs are already getting into the spirit of things!
As for Adrian, he will produce as well as appear in a show called The Green Life, which is going to show every day strategies people can use to reduce their impact.
The network's CEO David Zaslav says, "It used to be that green was granola and left." He adds, "We're not going to be 'The ice is melting.' The audience already gets that message. We want to engage people in a fun way and in the spirit of what we can all do together."
