Green your lawn and green your pet
It's that time of year. If you live in suburbia, and have any bit of a lawn, your mailbox has probably been inundated with advertisements from everyone and their brother looking to treat your lawn and keep it "green."Just in case you needed one more reason to let your lawn go, here's one from Randy Kidd, Holistic Veterinarian: Your pet. According to Kidd, pets can be greatly affected by environmental toxins, like some lawn chemicals. Pets are low to the ground, like to spend lots of time in the yard, don't get bathed every day, don't take their shoes off when they come in and have a tendency to lick their paws. All reasons to keep your lawn as chemical-free as you can.
