Levi's eco-jeans
If you're into minimizing your ecological footprint, but you still keep yourself in some stylish duds, a pair of vintage looking Levi's from JCPenney might actually be the way to go. These Levi's ECO brand jeans are made from 100% organic cotton from Organic Exchange -- a US and EU compliant organic supplier -- so you can green your wardrobe without having to stray from the classic blue jeans look. Not to diss on hemp trousers or anything, it's just not my style. Not only are the jeans organic, but the rivets, buttons, zippers and snaps are all recycled from old Levis. I tried some of these on the other day and they were super soft -- I'm sure that probably doesn't have much to do with them being organic. It's nice to see environmentally-responsible clothing that's actually cool-looking and reasonably priced. I think $200 is a little high for a pair of jeans, even if they do come from Bono's ethical fashion collection.
