This keeps coming back up in the news, and from my little view of the world, it's really true. Grocery prices are going through the roof. I buy the same basic list each week, nothing fancy, and, while I haven't done a solid analysis, the total cost each week seems to be creeping up, up and up. I do buy some foods organic, although certainly not 100% of the list, but other than that, nothing out of the ordinary.
1The best idea is stock up on what you need when it's on sale. I have about 50 boxes of cereal in my closet waiting to be eaten that I picked up a few weeks ago. Eating atleast 1 box per week, this will easily be consumed before they expire in a year. I picked them up for about 1/4th of the normal price using a sale price + coupons.
