Food prices through the roof, including organics
This keeps coming back up in the news, and from my little view of the world, it's really true. Grocery prices are going through the roof. I buy the same basic list each week, nothing fancy, and, while I haven't done a solid analysis, the total cost each week seems to be creeping up, up and up. I do buy some foods organic, although certainly not 100% of the list, but other than that, nothing out of the ordinary.

The best idea is stock up on what you need when it's on sale. I have about 50 boxes of cereal in my closet waiting to be eaten that I picked up a few weeks ago. Eating atleast 1 box per week, this will easily be consumed before they expire in a year. I picked them up for about 1/4th of the normal price using a sale price + coupons.

Food Storage is the way to go, it looks like it might be the only thing we will be eating for awhile.
