6 Signs Al Gore is running for president
Enter Al Gore -- the great unifier. The highly popular senior member of the Democratic party could be tapped as the ultimate "compromise candidate."
Most still consider a Gore-led ticket a long shot, and when I contacted his representative, wondering if he'd run (in the event the party asked him to) I was told: "Mr. Gore does not anticipate such a scenario and therefore hasn't engaged in any such speculation." That said, there's mounting evidence that this formerly far-out theory could become reality. Check it out:
But the question is: even if Gore is the best compromise to bring together a wounded party, could he really beat John McCain? After all, he did lose the election back in 2000. Would you vote to put Al Gore in the White House?

And he is shaving...
Politicians who either drop out of a race or lose a race often seem to grow some facial hair afterwards.

Gore in 2008!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our party needs him, our country needs him, the very planet itself needs him! It's a longshot, true, but I'm choosing to hold onto a tiny sliver of hope, however fragile and shard-like it may be!

if Al Gore doesn't run for president he should most definitely be involved in the upcoming administration (be it republican or democrat) as an authority on environmental issues. All the corrupt science and conflicting issues create huge gray areas in seemingly black and white issues and the US needs someone to turn to. Plus, the rest of the world has a great deal of respect for him since the Nobel Prize. It would be good for our environmental policy and foreign relations.
