Amy Winehouse to perform at a human powered club
Amy Winehouse has been confirmed for a performance at the world's weirdest nightclub in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The club runs entirely on human energy.I mean, this makes so much sense. Now we know why Amy never showers. It's because she wants to save on water, right? And she's performing at this crazy human powered nightclub because she wants to bring awareness about uses of alternative energy, obviously. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the paycheck -- and what a paycheck it is!
The Back to Black singer was offered the whopping sum of £350,000, or about $700,000 dollars. When asked whether Amy was really coming, the owner of the club, fittingly named Watt, said, "It is as good as certain."
Should someone who's a recently recovering (supposedly) drug addict really play at a club that's part of the world's biggest drug scene? A source familiar with the club said, "The energy will come from urine and sweat from the visitors. Toilets will be flushed by rainwater. The club is set in the biggest drugs circuit in Holland. It is so out there it might even shock Amy."
That sounds absolutely insane. Urine as a form of alternative energy is an interesting concept. Can you imagine if the lights go dim? All the party goers would just have to drink more and pee more -- problem solved.

This is nonsense, its based on an article in UKthrashpaper the sun. Yes, they will likely use rain/grey water and there will be a dancefloor that absorbs the energy of the dancers, but its just a green IMAGE for the club formerly known as nighttown. They're trying to book her for the opening in september, but won't pay that ridiculous sum of money. And about "the biggest drug circuit in Holland"... hahahaha I live in a sidestreet of the West Kruiskade and thats new to me. Amy will be bored to death....

Really? The dancefloor absorbs the energy of the dancer? Greenwashing aside, that's a cool idea -- assuming the music doesn't suck/people dance. :)
