eBay Green: Smelly, eco-friendly closets
This eBay find is not the oddest, but it is certainly not the most useful. Perhaps it is my age; my closet smells fine to me. Of course, if you're into mothballs and other chemical air-fresheners (or think bugs are icky), this just might be the eBay store for you. For roughly $6 and shipping costs, you could get your mitts on a bag of 60 cedar wood "mothballs". Packaged in their own little cotton bags, these aromatic balls can be scattered around your house for an environmentally-friendly (and -smelling) boost of freshness. They also repel insects.
Actually, you are not stuck with balls. They also come in cubes (you know you want a fake moth-cube)!
Now, I'm not sure if this is a gift for the young'uns. The most effort I've ever put into a fresh-smelling closet is to refrain from storing my clothes and linens in those plastic zippered bags.
To make this more fashionable, you could probably rig something up with cinnamon or vanilla and put them out for the holidays. Heck, start making centerpieces! What better way to advertise your green ways than to decorate with trees?
