Soleil Moon Frye's green nursery

First of all, congratulations are in order! Punky Brewster Soleil Moon Frye gave birth to a healthy baby girl yesterday. Soleil and her husband Jason Goldberg named the baby Jagger Joseph Blue Goldberg. Yikes, that's quite a mouthful!

But, even more important than the name is the way the family prepared for their new arrival. Soleil is one of the founders of the eco-friendly baby products store, Little Seed. So of course, the babies nursery needed to be 100% green! Soleil chatted with Celebrity Baby Blog about the challenge.

She said, "I was trying to figure out which would be more eco-friendly; to use all of (her first daughter) Poet's stuff, or get everything new from the store! So I did a little of both. I tried to make the nursery as eco-friendly as possible by reusing some of Poet's furniture and introducing new pieces from the store. I used Poet's changing table and armoire. I put non-toxic paint on the walls. I got an eco-friendly crib from my store, and all organic bedding by Coyuchi. I have an organic changing pad, organic clothing, and a bunch of other amazing goodies from the store, like rattles and teething toys, etc."

So it looks like the new little bugger is going to come home to quite an impressive and more importantly, green nursery. Browse through the gallery to see some of the eco-friendly baby products Little Seed has to offer, in case you're thinking about going baby green yourself.
