I knew Paris was trying to go green a while back when she bought herself a Yukon Hybrid for her birthday, but no one ever told me that she was actually pioneering the whole green movement. As she was driving her new Yukon off the lot last week, she was recorded saying "hybrid cars are awesome, and I have the first one." That's strange, I'm pretty sure I saw a hybrid car when I was out riding my bike this morning. In fact, I was pretty sure that a company called Toyota had been selling them since 2001.

No one is sure what the heck Paris was talking about when she told a cameraman that she has the "first one." Auto Blog Green actually took the initiative to ask GM if Paris was driving some kind of futuristic prototype, but apparently they're just as confused. The say she's driving the same Yukon Hybrid as anybody else. Of course, maybe they're just saying that -- and it's a giant conspiracy. Probably not.

I never do this, but I'll give Ms. Hilton the benefit of the doubt -- she probably knows that hers isn't the first hybrid car, truck, of even Yukon. To be fair, it looked like she was just too distracted signing autographs to really pay attention to the words coming out of her mouth. Maybe she was just worn out from the whole car buying process, it can be a real brain drain.
