Green profiles: Clint Smith

Clint Smith works with Emma Email Marketing, the company that sponsored the lanyards (the big shoelace that holds the participant badge around your neck) for the film and interactive portions of the SXSW festival.

Think about all the time you don't spend writing letters. Why bother? It's easier, faster and more effective to send the information in an email. That, according to Emma Email Marketing, is why the most prominently-used method for online communication is also good for the planet.

To take that eco-friendly objective one step further, Emma is planting trees. Lots of trees, in fact. They're working with an organization called Planet 2020 to plant a tree for every person that visits their SXSW site and votes "Yes" for their favorite tall, leafy brand of vegetation.
