For the lazy and eco-friendly: a solar-powered lawn mower
For the lazy and the eco-friendly, here comes a solar-powered robotic lawn mower, the Automower, from Swedish manufacturers Husqvarna. Kind of like a Roomba for your lawn.The robotic mower is actually a solar electric hybrid and can cut the grass unsupervised. The manufacturer claims that it uses only the same amount of energy as a single light bulb thanks to the solar panel.
According to the CEO Bengt Andersson, "This is as green as mowing gets." Hmmm. What about those old push mowers? Eco-friendly, but not for the lazy I guess.
Available in the UK, the Automower doesn't come cheap at £2,000.
