SXSW: What's all this crap in my welcome bag?
From what I could tell, most of this stuff wound up in piles on Convention Center tables, or shoved in the trash. If you've managed to hang on to your bag-o-stuff, don't throw it away. At some point you'll need a break from the wall-to-wall nerd-gasm, so why not take a stroll up to 9th street? There you'll find Ecology Action, a group dedicated to recycling everything -- even the stuff your normal curbside recycling won't pick up.
From the site: "First of all, we take paper. And not just newspaper, any type of paper...This means phone books, books, cereal box cardboard, and packing paper (please fold it if you can). And you can bring us as much as you can haul."
Here's a map with directions.
