Sub-Zero kicks off green kitchen website
Many of us are always looking for a way to green our homes while saving a buck. While new appliances may not be in your budget right now, some luxury kitchen outfitters may be able to help you out anyway. Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances have teamed up to bring you a site dedicated to cut down on your kitchen's eco-footprint. What isn't very environmentally friendly is stocking your fridge full of bottled water as in the picture above, especially plastic bottles. For those of us that live in North America, we should be proud of the fact that our tap water is clean enough to drink.

good point. it's wasteful to drink bottled water in one of the few nations on earth where the tap is totally safe. Of course, you do have to worry about fluoridation. Oh my!

Well technically I think the jury is still out on whether or not fluoride is toxic to humans in the concentration found in *some* tap water. I say *some* because not all communities fluoridate their water. If you still want to drink bottled water however, there are far more environmentally friendly ways to do it, notably the larger, refillable water cooler-type jugs. The single serving portions however are definitely not the environmentally responsible answer.

Thanks for the interesting read. I read a post about some really cool building products that are also green.
