Casting call: Leonardo Dicaprio as Captain Planet?
Leonardo has yet to play a bona fide superhero role -- he usually goes for the sappy romantic leads where he gets to make out with super-hot leading ladies. As of late though, Leo has been taking some roles that involve serious ass-kicking. He beat down the brutal Bill "the butcher" in Gangs of New York, and then in The Departed, he managed to put up a pretty convincing tough guy performance. The 33 year-old actor has a pretty good record off the screen as well. He produced a documentary about global warming -- The 11th Hour -- encouraging people to combine their powers to destroy global warming. He also through his hat in the green building ring, funding a sustainable hotel in Belize. Leo did draw some criticism with his excessive jet-setting, but as Captain Planet he would no longer require polluting airplanes to wiz around the globe -- only a cape.
I noticed on IMDB that he's also slated to play Teddy Roosevelt in an upcoming film about the life of the conservationist president. Ol' Teddy was a borderline superhero for sure -- and if Leo can pull it off, then Captain Planet will be a cakewalk.

Just out of curiousity - who lets you write for them? Just in this one topic, I've noticed several glaring mistakes. I'm sure you could at least have made an effort to re-read your posts once or twice to catch simple mistakes, like misuse of homophones such as "through" and "threw" or "adieu" and "ado."
Anyway, I'm not so sure Jake would make the best Captain Planet, since he seems to be a little bit on the short side. Leo might be good, though he'd have to start exercising a bit more in order to pull it off. The other two just seem a bit too old.
