Review of Clorox Greenworks
So, I saw Clorox's new Green Works cleaner in the store at the end of last week and decided to try it. I went for the all-purpose cleaner. I think the price was around $3, which is not-too-bad, especially when compared to other eco-friendly cleaners. The ingredients include a vegetable-based surfactant, corn-based ethanol, filtered water. It has also has added fragrance, from essential lemon oil.
And the verdict is ... I liked it. With one caveat. The aforementioned lemon oil fragrance. I loved the lemony scent when I first started using it. But as the cleaning went on, it started to smell kind of strong. Then again, I did do an absurd amount of cleaning that day, so that could have been the problem.
They don't have a fragrance-free version yet, but I would definitely be interested if they ever came out with one.
Overall, I recommend it!

You're going to find a lot more economy by buying the gigantic bottle of white vinegar for $0.89, though, and mixing it with free tap water. If you want a little scent, a bottle of lavender or orange essential oil may be pricey but goes a long way.

I agree that they work good but the scent is extremely overpowering. I have to shut my bathroom door and turn the fan on because I feel sick from it. I'm not sure I will continue to use these products.

Actually, the Green Works line explicitly states that it is not tested on animals.
As for vinegar, I dislike that smell. For me, the lemon scent didn't overpower me. It was one of the positives of the cleanser.

I ran into this article http://evolvingwellness.com/posts/61/clorox-green-worksnot-so-green-for-your-health/ where it describes why this product might not be good for your health. I do wonder if they are just using the hype on being green.
