Tulane's green building: Future of factory homes

Tulane's School of Architecture Green Build program set out to design pre-fab housing that was affordable, made with accessible materials, and sustainably constructed. With hopes of making these available in post-Katrina New Orleans their final design was 1,200 square feet with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Packed with plenty of green amenities and fitted for ultimate solar power ability, this project is nearing completion. Students minds plus green initiatives equals pretty sweet cribs.
