Least green celebrities: Jennifer Aniston
4. Jennifer Aniston
The Friends alum agreed to endorse Glaceau's Smartwater, which is made by boiling water and combines the resulting vapors (and a few electrolytes for good measure), into an environmentally-unfriendly plastic bottle, which is then purchased and likely tossed in the trash upon consumption. Perhaps she should go back to endorsing what she's good at: her own hairstyle.
Don't worry, it's not all bad -- some people really care about planet. Check our list of Top 5 Green Celebs!

Come on... there is a big difference between a guy who is a super waster (throwing out underwear after one use), flying a 707 with just his family in it (Travolta) and someone who wears a fur coat or is endorsing a product.
What about Mike (Gatorade) or Tiger Woods (he's got his own Gatorade flavors coming out) or Labron James (again Gatorade)... all these come in plastic throw away bottles with little more than water and sugar...
This list is far from anything meaningful.

The lamest of the lame. Big deal, she is hawking bottled water. That makes her one of the top five anti-earth celebs? Then you dig up the most unflattering photo you can find of this beautiful woman and use it to spew your crap. I think this will put me over the edge with AOL. I have had it with just about all phases of this server and this takes the cake.

Who cares about what all these celebs do. Talking about it isnt going to make a difference because all people do is just talk about how there is pollution and blahh blahh. We need to finally act and do something about. i think enough has been said. These celebs are just a select few out of the billions of people in the world.

Yeah...well what about Al Gore....Mr. Green. He lives in an massive house whose utility bills would light up a small town...plus the SUV vehicles he drives are a little much. How much steel do you need to get from point A to point B.

ROFL- I'm pleased to see there are some Hollyweird people who are not on Algore's bandwagon- more power to them! When politicians and environmentalists start walking the talk, maybe then more common people will listen up. What a bunch of whackoes- thinking that something as puny as man can actually destroy the planet- what fools.

Jennifer is just peddling her ass for money. I bet she got more for endorsing that bottled water than you and I make in ten years. Another Hollywood elitist who wants you to pay your money to adore her. From a distance, of course.

So typical of the liberal - do as I say not as I do. Put Gore on that list also. He tells us all what to do, but he uses more electricity than 5 families. I know - he pays for carbon whatever, which only means he has the money to pay for it. big deal. When the green preachers ACT like they preach I will think about following them.

Quite frankly, I think this whole green thing is a farce.
I haven't seen anything regarding sending rockets into space and what effect they have on the environment. As for the PETA folks, get a real life.
Sure, we need to be more concsious about abusing the envoronment, but to key in on a plastic bottle, give me a break. It all appears to be a Yuppie control thing. And to key in on people in the lime light, also rediculous; lets look at the author and see what he/she is doing.

who the f**k cares if she endorses a water company. every single man made product uses recources and can be twisted to make it look environmentally harmful. Whoever was the author of this article must have been beaten with a bottle of Glaceau's water when she was younger. GET OVER IT!

First of all, I recycle ... ALOT. But as far as SAVING on things... I'm not really the best. But I grew up with money saving, environmentally sound parents who'd reprimand me everytime I 'wasted' anything or used up too much of something (but they were also CHEAP). As a result, though, I think I ended up doing the opposite and became very bad at saving up on things. Nobody likes being told what to do or criticized all the time or scrutinized or too much authority. People, by nature, are rebellious, without being conscientious of it at times, especially when there is TOO much authority or interference on their lives.
I also think that environmentalists are failing miserably by criticizing others. You can't DEMAND or REPRIMAND people to be environmentally sound. You can't use anger and determination and revenge as a way to speak your mind on an issue. I think the better way is a marketing strategy that I use, which is sweet talking people into something. People become so understanding when you speak to them in a less authoritative or critical manner. On the issue of environment, you have to make people more sympathetic. I don't think people are doing a very good job of it. One thing I DID, notice though! I moved from NY to CA (I move around alot for business purposes) and NY is MUCH more environmentally conscientoius than CA, which is a little shocking, seeing as how CA is more sunny and NY has bad weather with rude people, although people in CA can be more cranky for some reason... could be the bad air (due to the lack of carbon absorbing trees, compared to NY).

I think Travolta, Chris Brown and Streisand should be publically censured for their behavior. The offenses of Cindy Crawford and Jennifer Aniston pale in comparison to the many celebrities who thoughtlessly indulge in Hummers and private jets. I certainly would cheer any efforts to outlaw Hummers and private jets as much as possible - it would be worth it to maintain what little ecological stability we have left!

What I want to know is why all these celebrities get up and harp and harp on the environment while holding a lit cigarette in their hands. I think they need to get their own lives in order and let everyone else make their own decisions. I believe we should all do our very best to tend the earth, not worship it.
