Stop holiday catalog pile-up with Catalog Choice
It's that time of year again. Holiday catalogs have started to pour through my mail slot, spraying onto my floor daily. It seems like I get three catalogs from every company that I've made a purchase from within the past five years. Usually I briefly flip through the glossy pages and then toss the whole thing into my recycle bin. It's a horrible waste of paper since I do most of my shopping online and Catalog Choice wants to help.
This online service was founded by three environmental groups to help consumers gain control of their mailboxes. Catalog Choice will contact retailers for you directly once you select a list of the catalogs that keep plaguing you ... and they'll do it for free.
I signed up myself and found the service incredibly easy and quick. Most of the catalogs that I was looking for were listed with the exception of a local jeweler. There are a couple of catalogs that I wish to keep receiving because it is one of my guilty pleasures to drool over furniture that I can't afford. However, it's nice to know that I can so easily put an end to the clutter.

Oh, god. It's mine, too. Actually, I have a stack of catalogs by my computer, all with dog-eared pages of items I don't need or can't justify. The $200 scarlet cashmere sweater. The leopard-print clogs. The catalogs are fantasy fodder for sure!
If you're going to do your Xmas shopping online, though, you might check out my new collection of naughty Christmas stories ("Naughty or Nice?) It's a guilty pleasure in a whole different way!
