Paper towel dispenser reminds us to conserve

The World Wildlife Fund has a clever ad campaign that makes every public bathroom user think twice about grabbing a handful of paper towels. By creating a silhouette of South America we are reminded of the degradation of the Amazon Rainforest. Danish ad agency Saatchi & Saatchi has driven home the point that we have to be conscious of waste everywhere, not just our homes.

Automatic hand dryers are probably the most ecologically friendly way to go when it comes to public restrooms or even those cloth towels on a rotating device are better than paper. I admit that quite often I find myself wiping my clean, wet hands on my pants which is probably the best choice of all ... if you don't mind looking a little disheveled.
