Prius stretched into a luxury ride
Every good greenie dreams of one day owning a hybrid (if they don't already). But what is the special events ride of choice for the green set? How about this Toyota Hybrid that has been stretched into a limo! A Canadian man cut his Prius down the middle, inserted more body and rewelded it together to create this one-of-a-kind vehicle. He claims that it hasn't negative effected the fuel efficiency of the normally gas-sipping Prius. Somehow I can't imagine that adding the weight equivalent of another half a car to the engine wouldn't have some effect on the gas mileage. However, it's probably still better than a regular limo.
