
Could cutting back on red meat significantly help the
global warming problem?
According to scientists and other experts the answer is yes. The methane gases that farm animals emit greatly contributes to the green house effect. They say that a 10% reduction in the amount of beef, lamb and goat we eat would have a significant impact on the amount of
greenhouse gases the planet releases into the atmosphere (although maybe if we started
adding garlic to their feed, we wouldn't have to cut back so much). It's certainly something to think about the next time you sit down to order a burger or a goat curry.
