Start a housecleaning "rag bag"

One easy thing you can do to accentuate your cleaning routine, while reducing and reusing, is to start a rag bag. Cut your old clothes and towels up into squares and start your collection!

You'll get to reuse your worn-out items. You'll save money on paper towels, sponges and other disposable cleaning items like wipes. You'll keep all of these disposable products out of the landfills. And, the best part is that your home will actually be cleaner because rags do a much better job than any disposable product ever could.

When used with green cleaners, I feel comfortable throwing them in with the laundry, usually with sheets or towels, after a quick rinse with cold water first.
