Il Papa says to be green
Pope Benedict has made it a point twice this week to draw attention to climate change and "care of water resources." On Wednesday he asked 16,000 people in St. Peter's Square to pray for and respect "God's creation." Last Sunday, the Pope appeared before the first ever Catholic youth rally focused on the environment.
I hope that his words were met with action. I doubt that his 10 Commandments for drivers has had any impact on the horrific driving habits of the Italians. Perhaps his going green is a precursor to discussing overpopulation and the benefits of birth control ... naaah.
